I got two calls from this number today. The first time, no one said a word, just silence. When they called again, the guy asked if he was talking to me but messed up my last name. When I told him he was wrong, he started shouting swear words. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call at 12.27 today and honestly, it sounded a bit like it was from someone close... ? said they had 3 questions for me. As soon as I told them I was the mum of the person they were after, and that they couldn’t come to the phone because they were sick, the caller just hung up. Then they tried again at 12.44 but I ignored it. Been a bit wary since, so I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call from a woman with a really thick Indian accent, she was speaking so fast it was near impossible to catch what she was saying. She said she was calling from somewhere in the UK and wanted to check three things: my address, phone number and age group. I cut her off to ask why she needed this info, but she just rattled off stuff again way too quick for me to follow. Kept insisting she was just asking questions and I wouldn’t get any more calls, but I wasn’t buying it. Ended the call straight away because I wasn’t about to give out any personal details.

Update: Seems like these calls are definitely linked... I'm now getting ring ups from mobile numbers like 0745 7400180 and 400171. Judging by them, they all seem to come from the same firm. On the bright side, my Samsung phone spots these mobile calls and warns me they're POSSIBLE SCAM! So yeah... BLOCKED!

Just like others have mentioned, this bloke behind all these scams goes by Stuart Wright, living at 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham. All these phone numbers trace back to him and that address. No surprise he’s got a fancy big house when he’s constantly ripping folks off like this!
