No voicemail was left, so I'm assuming it's one of those dodgy scam calls.

As soon as my voicemail started, the caller abruptly disconnected—definitely dodgy! I've been inundated with calls from various numbers that all begin with 0121******. I never pick up when the number isn’t familiar to me.

I just received a call from this number moments ago. It went straight to voicemail and then cut off. I'm guessing it's either a dodgy sales call or some sort of scam. I'm definitely blocking this number!

Here we go again, yet another ring from an Energy Consultant. This time, thankfully, the accent was not from London. She addressed me by my name, and I made it clear that though I may be seasoned in years, I'm not gullible!

I received a call from a number that has the 0121 area code, but I ignored it since I don't recognise anyone from Birmingham. This year, I've had several calls from that area code, and they’ve all turned out to be dodgy energy advisors or scams related to boilers. Best to steer clear!

Received a call on my landline from a number I didn't recognise, so I let it ring. Definitely sounds like a scam to me!

I've registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet I still received another dodgy call today. This one was supposedly from the Energy Trust, trying to see if I qualified for grants. What’s particularly unsettling is that she seemed to know my name!

My voicemail picks up any calls that aren't saved in my contacts. This particular number rang but didn’t leave a message, which I interpret as a red flag for a scam. In my experience, genuine businesses tend to leave a voicemail or at least state their purpose for calling.

I recently received a call from this number, but since I didn’t recognise it and there was no name registered in my contacts, I decided to let it go to voicemail. The line disconnected without leaving any message at all. Given the information shared by others, I suspect it’s likely a scam. I'm grateful to everyone who has contributed their experiences.

Seems like a dodgy energy scam to me! Be wary of any calls trying to sell you on ridiculous deals or trick you into switching providers.

It’s wise not to ring any number that you can’t recognise from your contact list or to simply reject calls that don’t appear in your phonebook. Better safe than sorry!

My landline rang, but as my answering machine was primed to catch any calls, the caller simply hung up without saying a word. It's funny how genuine callers always take the time to leave a note. Thus, it seems pretty clear: this particular number is probably dodgy.
