At around 9.54 in the morning on the 1st of September, this dodgy number rang me, but I didn't pick up since I didn't know who it was.

Might be from abroad, I’ve heard of folks in India getting UK numbers and running scams with them. Best thing is to just block unknown numbers and don’t pick up if you don’t know who it is. If it’s something important, they’ll usually leave a voicemail asking you to call back.

Had this call from someone speaking in shaky English, trying to sell me a new boiler. Kinda hilarious at first, but then I remembered I’m actually a boiler engineer! Bit suspicious tho, seemed like they had some of my info. Would steer clear of these lot.

Phone was on silent so I only saw the missed call later. I've had loads of calls this week from numbers I don't know. I just ignore them and block the numbers straight away. It’s a right pain, really, cos I block anyone I don’t recognise and end up possibly missing important calls, like from doctors or hospitals.

Got a call saying I could claim some PPI cash back but then they said I needed to buy life insurance first. When I refused, they went on and called me thick, then started telling me how to talk to the life insurance folks. Proper cheeky!

Got a call from some bloke saying I owed money, I told him I didn’t. Then he started going on about store cards, and I said nah. Next up, he tried loans and stuff. The guy sounded Asian and was really pushy, wouldn’t accept no for an answer, so I just ended the call and blacklisted the number. Funny enough, a random mobile number called me a few days ago with the exact same spiel.

A bloke phoned me saying he was from some firm named Debt Solutions. I lost my temper because these muppets ring me loads every day. When I asked to speak to a manager to sort out the endless nuisance calls, he flat out refused. I then asked where they operated from and he gave me an address in Manchester. Curious, I looked them up and gave the company a bell myself. Turns out, they’re being flooded with complaints from annoyed folks like me, but apparently, they’re not connected to this mess at all.

Got a call from this number, some bloke with a thick Indian accent saying he was from the I.V.A. He said I could clear off my debts and called himself Sam Davis. He asked me how much I owed, but when I asked how he knew my name and got my number, he claimed it was from some National database. I told him that sounded illegal and a breach of data protection rules, then he just hung up on me.

This call was pretty suspicious, with this person talking in a thick Indian accent. Then another caller rang saying they could help with merging all my debts. The company said they were Step Change and kept asking for my debit card info and date of birth. I gave them a fake birthday because it all felt really off.
