Told them to take me off their list but they just keep ringing, so now I just ignore their calls.

Lately, this number has been ringing me about four times daily. My voicemail clearly says they need to say who they are if they want me to answer. Of course, they never bother. One time I actually answered and there was nothing but silence. After reading the comments here, I’m just gonna block this number from now on.

Got one call saying I’d supposedly got a mortgage. Another call was just dead silence. Then there was a call I ignored, and they didn’t bother leaving any message.

In the span of just 48 hours, I received a rather dubious call attempting to inform me about a mortgage that I have absolutely no knowledge of (which, I assure you, I haven't taken out).

Additionally, I endured one of those annoying silent calls.

Oh, and let’s not forget a call I chose to ignore, with no message being left behind. Quite the peculiar couple of days, if you ask me!

I've been hounded by the number 0121 736 0311 - they ring me repeatedly, always peddling a different service with each call. It's clearly a scam, and I'm absolutely fed up with being bothered by them, especially when I'm trying to receive crucial calls of my own! Is it possible to get some compensation for this annoyance?

The caller said they were from Direct Solutions. I could tell it was a dodgy scam straight away so I started asking them loads of questions. They claimed I had a refund for overpaid interest on my “finances”. I asked what exactly they meant and they said it was a mortgage I took out before 2009. When I asked who with, when, and the amount, the woman got flustered and just hung up. I've now blocked the number even though I’m supposedly on the TPS!

I find myself in the same boat! Couldn't for the life of me get them to reveal where this supposed debt was coming from. When I queried why they were ringing me out of the blue, especially after registering with the Telephone Preference Service, they just cut the line! How rude!

i've got an answerphone and they hang up sharpish as soon as they hear my "sorry, not available" spiel. at least they're wasting their cash, not my time. if it seems legit, i'll use bt 1471 to check the number then ring back if needed. there's this one ppi company that rings me every day but they dont get anywhere except lighter in the wallet!

Got a call from Direct Solutions said something about interest payments, i just cut them off. The guy was polite enough but i told him to get an honest job instead of scamming folks, then hung up. Next day, a woman called from the same number, also Direct Solutions, but she got really nasty when i spoke back, like she was pissed i wasn’t rude but she claimed i was! Seems like i really annoyed a cold caller. Also, my number’s on the TPS list - what a bloody joke that is.

there was loads of noise in the background and i think they were trying to reach me. once they even said my postcode out loud, claiming i have some money due. when i asked what it was about, they just hung up on me.

Got another call from them today, and again they just dropped it when it went to voicemail. I called them back, but their answering machine was awful - loads of weird noises, like a mix of a fax and computer sounds in the background.
