Somebody tried to offer me a 40% discount cause of bad O2 call quality, asking me to enter my details through a promo code. While speaking to them, I got text messages from O2 warning not to provide any info via those promo texts. I had my browser open, so I looked up their number (the one mentioned above) and told the caller their number had been searched over 12,000 times and had loads of bad reviews and complaints. I joked that maybe the bloke was off sick or travelling with his mum!

SCAM ALERT This number rang me saying there was some issue with my phone provider and that they were offering a discount. Then they sent a reset code by text and tried to get me to give it to them to get into my mobile account. The text clearly warns you not to share the code and to just hang up. Got a call earlier from 01254 929 001 claiming to be O2 trying to sort out some kind of discount. They then sent me a text that looked like it was from O2 with some "security" code. But the account details they gave me were completely wrong. After I ended the call, they rang back straight away, this time from 0121 790 0376, calling twice in a row. I had a call but didnt pick up. Then I got a message saying it was from O2 - seemed legit. They called again, I didn’t answer once more, then sent another text with a code and a note saying not to share it with anyone. Did a bit of research and found out it’s a scam.

I’ve just received a dodgy phone call from 01217900376, claiming they could sort me out with a discount on my O2 deal. Quite worryingly, they already knew my email address. Definitely feels off!

Got another call in just a couple days, saying it was from 02 and sent me a text with a one-time code I never asked for today. The first time, the caller got really personal and rude, saying nasty stuff about my missus after I told him I wasn’t interested and that it was a scam, then I hung up and blocked the number. These scumbags can keep ringing all they want, I’ll just keep blocking 🚫, even if one actually turns out to be from 02. If I need to speak to 02, I’ll ring them myself.
