I've been receiving messages asserting that I'm eligible for a financial payout from a car accident.

I received a rather dodgy phone call from these folk claiming, "We think you've been involved in a road accident." I challenged them, asking, "If you're so certain of that, surely you must have my name, what is it?" They promptly hung up on me. Clearly, it was nothing but a scam!
