I attempted to return the call, but the phone refused to connect; it just kept hanging up on me automatically.

I received a call claiming that our number had been picked for a 40% off deal; the accent was quite thick and hard to understand, almost indecipherable really.

Claimed to be from EE - I informed him he’d dialled the wrong number… and promptly blocked him! I’m not even a customer of EE!

There was an excruciating pause after I picked up the call. I inquired whether they were phishing for my attention with some nonsense sales pitch, and she had the audacity to question my manners-not just once, but several times! How cheeky!
