Got a call from this number claiming I’d been in a car crash. When I told them I’d report the call, the person just ended the call straight away. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

just a heads up: the female voice you hear when you pick up this number isn’t actually a person on the other end. it’s a bunch of pre-recorded clips they splice together using an automated system. they’ll respond based on what they’ve got set up, but if they haven’t got a fitting reply, they just cut the call. if you think they might not be real, try throwing out something completely random and see if they respond properly. honestly, the safest bet is to avoid answering unknown calls from birmingham altogether. stay safe out there!

The number seemed legit at first, and my husband nearly called it back (thank goodness he didn’t!). When he tried, it just came up as ‘number not recognised’. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.
