Got a call at work from 0121 7329830, supposedly from BT, saying our computer's IP address had been switched since 8am. The bloke, with a funny accent, wanted me to log in so he could explain who'd done it and said we might be in danger. Thought it was a load of rubbish and hung up straight away, then blocked the number. Didn't fancy being taken for a mug.

Got a call today from 0121 561 9830. It was an automated voice claiming to be from HMRC, telling me to press one to sort out a payment. If I didn't, they said HMRC would issue an arrest warrant for me. I’ve reported it to Action Fraud already - apparently they’ve been seeing loads of these calls lately. Just thought I’d put this out there in case anyone else gets the same.

He claimed to be from the Green Deal Centre, calling about a government scheme for free loft insulation. I asked if he'd checked whether I was registered with TPS before phoning, and he replied there are millions of numbers, so it’s impossible to check them all. I told him he’s legally required to do so, but he insisted he doesn’t have to because the list he uses has already been screened and shouldn’t include TPS numbers. I then pointed out I am on TPS and yet he called me anyway. He fell silent, so I ended the call.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from Sky. When I asked her why she ended the call abruptly, she just hung up on me. I actually reported them yesterday for trying to sell loft insulation, so I’m not surprised! Enough said really!!!

Missed a call earlier, but since my partner is waiting on something from a clinic in Birmingham, I rang back thinking it might be them. All I got was some annoying music. Honestly, the folks behind these companies are the worst kind of people. They should feel proper shame making money like this. WHY NOT FIND A REAL JOB, YOU LOT! And a message for Theresa May - ban cold calls for good and bring charges against both the firms and the idiots working for them. Maybe then they'd finally understand they're not welcome.
