This scammer keeps ringing me using different details, probably selling my info. I told them to stop calling but they keep at it. The accent isn’t local, sounds nothing like a Goan accent. They say they're calling from Scotland and try to sell me a phone plan I already got.

Got a call from someone claiming to offer cover for white goods insurance, sounded proper rehearsed from the start - all about their new-for-old replacement deal, spoke really nicely with a strong Asian accent. I knew it was dodgy cause I put them through a test. First, I told them a brand name of a fridge that doesn’t even exist, and they said it was covered! Then I mentioned a 15 year old washing machine, any genuine company would have said no way. Lastly, I gave them details of a solid fuel stove - again, any legit insurer wouldn’t touch that. Totally a scam.

Got a call today from a woman about my Vodafone account. I asked if she was actually with Vodafone and she said no. If they can tell who your provider is, then Vodafone’s got a big security problem. Plus, if I’m not a customer and she’s contacting me like this, that’s definitely against OFCOM regulations.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, no voicemail or anything left. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Spam call, began with "Hello, this is about your Vodafone account." I just ended the call saying it’s not mine since I moved away ages ago. A real company might say something like pay your overdue balance and try to get cash out of people. Total scammers.

So, this chap had the audacity to inquire whether I held a bank account, to which I responded in the negative. His reply was something along the lines of tossing all my cash into a bag along with every piece of family bling and our prized possessions. He insisted I include all the logbooks and documents for my vehicles as well, and to have the keys ready for their courier. Promise was made that a life-altering cheque would land on my doorstep by the end of the month. I humorously shot back, suggesting that if he was keen, he'd best take the missus too! Well, surprise surprise - no cheque ever appeared. But instead, I ended up saving myself a good chunk of dosh! Should have had a proper laugh and offered up the daughters too! 😊

Got a call from a lady with a British accent saying she was from 3 mobile, wanting to do some kind of account and phone review. She asked when my contract ended but didn’t actually have any access to my account details. Seems pretty clear she was trying to scam me for info.

He asked if I had a bank account, I said no, then he told me to just gather all my cash in a bag along with all my family’s jewellery and everything valuable, plus all the paperwork for my cars. Then get the car keys ready for their courier, and they’d send me a life-changing cheque by the end of the month. I joked if they’d take the wife too, then it’s a proper deal. No cheque turned up, but at least I kept a load of money safe. Should’ve probably had some fun and told him to take the kids as well! 😊
