Somebody rang me saying they were from a firm that could recover PPI on a loan I supposedly had. Problem is, I've never taken out any loan. They did have my address though, but I wouldn’t tell them my bank details. Total scam, no doubt about it.

Got a call from one of those recruitment agents trying to fish for info. They mentioned some fake job ad to justify the call, and what’s worse, they rang me on my personal phone which isn’t connected to any job hunting stuff! Proper dodgy if you ask me.

They only mentioned the name Gareth and said I should ring them back. Didn’t say what company they were from or what it was about, but oddly enough, I’ve just put up a job ad too, so seems to fit with what others are saying here. Probably best to just block them.

This spy agency is trading info with companies. Really sketchy people, and shocking they’re just allowed to roam free like that.

Sounds like theyre trying to fish out info about old bosses and job interviews. Best to steer clear.

G2. They scan job boards, ring up people looking for jobs and ask loads about any recent or planned interviews. They say they can help you find work, but only if you give them details about who you’ve been in contact with, claiming it's to avoid chatting with those companies themselves. Don’t hand over any details though, they’ll bother the employers and end up causing you trouble!

I blocked the number straight away after they called once and left a voicemail claiming to be from G2 recruitment. Then they rang again pretending to be from Fortress, telling me I’d been in a car crash.
