Received a call from this number at a quarter past nine this morning, claiming I’d been involved in a car crash. I inquired about the source of my phone number on two occasions, and suddenly they cut the line. The number shown on my screen appears to be invalid or unreachable. I’ve lodged a complaint with the Telephone Preference Service and will also inform my mobile provider about this nuisance.

I received a call at 9:12 on a rather unremarkable Saturday morning from someone whose accent I couldn't quite place. She inquired whether I’d been involved in a car accident that wasn't my fault. I politely informed her that I hadn't, only for her to probe further about anyone else in my household. I was already feeling rather irritable and, rather regrettably, snapped at her with a loud "No! Just leave me alone!" She assured me she’d remove my number from her records. In hindsight, I pondered whether it might have simply been wiser to hang up without engaging at all.
