I think I just got hit by one of those TALKTALK scam calls. Seriously, be careful! They managed to control my laptop remotely after ringing me up. I’ve already told ActionFraud about what happened (that’s the UK’s official fraud and cyber crime reporting body). If you’ve had calls like this or get one in the future, make sure you report it so they can look into it properly. Stay safe out there!

Got a ring from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was calling from Talk Talk. Said a tech guy was ready to sort out my computer, but it seemed fishy to me. The number showed was 01216729282. Then just today, some bloke named Steven, also Indian, phoned up asking the exact same thing. I told him to stop calling and gave him back the number he tried from, 01213179829. Definitely a scam.

My missus picked up the call and this bloke with an Indian accent just went straight to telling her to "shut up". Proper rude, that was!

Today at 10.43am I got a call from this number. Like others have said, a man claiming to be from TalkTalk told me my router was infected and would be switched off in 24 hours. When I asked why the wait, he couldn’t give a clear answer. I said I’d report it to my IT team and ring TalkTalk directly on a different number to confirm. After that, they just hung up. Honestly, I don’t see what the point was!

I've been bombarded with over 50 calls weekly from TalkTalk scammers. I'm quitting them for good and not even bothering to keep my number, since TalkTalk won't help me change it or fix the problem. I’m totally fed up with the constant harassment. I’ve had to unplug my phone just to avoid the endless scam calls, which makes me feel anxious and cut off, especially since I’m registered disabled because of my mental health problems. It's been really tough not being able to reach out to anyone when I need support.

I keep getting loads of calls from different numbers, even though I keep blocking them. They always switch up the digits. Best thing I've found is to look them up on here first before you pick up, then if it looks dodgy you can block it straight away!

Got a call from someone claiming my talk talk internet was screwed, i told em its sorted but theres mess everywhere and pay up as promised. Then they just hung up! What a load of b*****ks. Talk Talk never calls out of the blue, they’re tricky enough to get through to without random calls like that. Total scammers.

I didn’t even ask anything, just warned him straight up that if I ever tracked him down, he’d be in big trouble. The voice sounded Indian and from what I’ve been through before, it seemed like someone pretending to be from Talktalk. I’m going to report this number to Talktalk so they can block it for all their customers if they confirm it’s a scam. Anyone with a Talktalk line should really make sure to report these dodgy calls directly to them.

So this person called my 82 year old grandma saying they could help stop all the annoying cold calls. They said it was a free service but then asked for her bank info, address and even her national insurance number! Seemed pretty dodgy to me.

So, my missus got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying there was some issue with our internet, something about someone in California using it. There was loads of background noise like a call centre. He told me to open up Google and check some info. I asked him to say my name, and he just went back to his script. I ended the call right away. Total scammer, what a muppet!

On 1st June 2017, I got a call from a bloke with a very English-sounding name but his accent was proper thick Indian. He claimed to be from TalkTalk tech support or summat. When I said "How wonderful," he just hung up straight away. Sounded like he was reading off some script.

Today I got a call from this same number, some bloke said he was from TalkTalk, warning me my internet was going to be cut off for 15 days, starting in 24 hours, cos my phone had supposedly been hacked. I actually had a similar call yesterday but from a separate number. I’ve blocked and reported both already. What’s mad is my mate got SIX of these calls all in one night!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk about an issue with my internet. I let them chat for a bit, then told them exactly what I thought - called him out for trying to con hardworking folks. You could hear people talking in the background, sounded like a proper call centre, but it’s all just recordings. Don’t get tricked, if you have any doubts just hang up and ring TalkTalk yourself.

Got a call at 9:35 from a guy named Stephen who had a foreign accent. He said he was ringing from TalkTalk and told me my internet was running slow, offering to fix it for me. When I asked how he even knew about my internet speed, he just stuck to his usual spiel. Then he began telling me what steps to take, but I told him that’s not how things work here, and he just hung up on me.

Got a ring from this number just a few minutes back. Honestly, I’ve stopped picking up any calls I don't recognise. If it’s important, leave a voicemail, simple as that. But these clever nuisance callers have caught on - they wait till the phone asks for a message, then cut off straight away. So now, even if I don’t pick up, no messages come through either. I’m listed ex-directory and signed up for the telephone preference service, but it’s no use at all. I get like half a dozen calls daily from them. Proper annoying!

I got a call from a lady saying she was from Talk Talk (I actually have BT). She warned me my internet would be disconnected in a couple of days because apparently I’d been visiting 'unauthorised websites' or something. She wanted me to be in front of my computer, but I said I was tied up. She rang again the following day, but as soon as she said hello, I just hung up and blocked her number straight away.
