Then when I asked again who exactly they were, they just hung up on me. Quite frustrating!

Got a call saying they were from the council housing dept but as soon as I mentioned I have my own house, they just dropped the call. Pretty shady if you ask me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Legal and General, wanting to review my mortgage protection. The moment I told them I wasn’t comfortable discussing anything over the phone and asked them to contact me via email or letter instead, they just ended the call. What’s a bit unsettling is that they already had my name, address, mobile number, and knew I had mortgage cover with L&G. It could have been a legitimate call, but hanging up without a word once I set boundaries seems quite rude and not very professional if that’s the case.
