Got a call from this number earlier today. I tried to answer but no one spoke, so I just ended the call. I've decided to block it now.

This morning, a call from Birmingham popped up on my phone at around 10am. Since I don’t know anyone from that area and wasn’t waiting for any calls, I just let it ring and didn’t bother answering. They didn’t leave a voicemail or anything. I looked the number up here and sure enough, it’s a scam. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Got a call from someone saying they were from O2 offering a new contract or deal. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call from a 0121 number, didn’t know who it was and my phone warned me it might be a scam, so I didn’t pick up. Pretty sure they’ve tried reaching me in the past, so I just blocked the number straight away.

Received a call earlier today from someone claiming to be with Telefast, representing O2. They mentioned that my contract is nearing its renewal date. When I pressed for specifics on when it was due, they couldn’t provide an answer, only indicating it wouldn’t be long. I'm currently tied into a three-year contract, and I've only completed one year so far. After a bit of back and forth, she apologised and abruptly hung up. Quite strange, to say the least!

Just got a call about 5 mins ago (at 14.05), spotted the country code straight away and knew it was a dodgy call. Didn’t waste time and blocked the number.

Total scam, just ignore and block them straight away.

I didn’t pick up since the number wasn’t saved in my contacts, and there wasn’t any voicemail either. If it was something important, they’d usually leave a message. Without one, it just gets blocked.

Got a second ring today, and this one actually spoke. Claimed to be with some kind of call blocking company, said they were sorting out my telemarketer problem and updating my call blocking settings or something. Bit suspicious if you ask me!

Sounds like a total scam to me - this person said they were calling from HMRC and threatened legal steps against me.
