Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was from HMRC legal team. He insisted I was the one who had called them, which I definitely didn’t. Then he explained there’s some sort of problem with me supposedly owing a big chunk of tax or being involved in a scam that tied me to the HMRC Legal dept. He said they just need my name to look into the matter and fix it properly if there’s a mistake. Seemed fishy to me.
