Got a call around 6 in the evening and picked up, but no one spoke. I said hello a few times and then the call just dropped. Best to just ignore these!

Got a call from a woman named Carla who said, "Looks like you’ve been in an accident recently and it wasn’t your fault, is that correct?" I told her "No, that’s not right, please take me off your list." She just ended the call after that.

I answered a call from this number, only for the line to go dead straight away. I've got no idea who it might have been. Strangely enough, I've received other calls from similar-sounding numbers in Birmingham as well.

Picked up a call and after a quiet moment, a lady called Carla told me she'd been told I was in a car crash that wasn’t my fault (which I definitely wasn’t). I said something like, "Sounds like a nasty one, I must’ve got amnesia since I don't recall it at all." After a short pause, she just ended the call.

I usually don't pick up if the number is hidden or unknown to me. If it's important, they'll just leave a message. My voicemail says something like - Thanks for calling. Just so you know, I don't take calls from blocked or unfamiliar numbers. If you really need to reach me, please leave a message.

I asked the bloke straight up who he was and where he'd dug up my details from. He said it was from some road accident data and that I was owed money. I told him that had all been sorted ages ago and I already got paid. The cheeky sod then asked how much I got. I just said I was more interested in how he got my number, then he hung up on me.

Got a call from 01219061460 saying the RTA told them I’d been in a car crash that wasn’t my fault. Sounds like one of those automated messages at first before they're trying to get you talking to a person who then asks for your details. Best to just hang up if they start pushing for info.

The person on the phone had a faint Indian accent and said her name was Carla Sims from First Source Contact. She asked if I’d had a car crash in the past couple of years. When I mentioned the Mobile Preference Service (which I’m signed up to), she just hung up straight away. Seems like they’re breaking the rules by calling me.

Someone once told me that if you pick up and agree to what these callers say, they’ll then want you to ring their 'solicitors' on a number they give you. When you do that, the person you call enters a code into their phone that somehow lets them permanently access your finances. And if you add money using your debit card, they get those details too. Honestly, just don’t ever call back numbers you don’t recognise, it’s not worth the risk.

a lady's voice, she doesn't reply right away, sounds like a pre-recorded message similar to those used by phone firms; they seem to be trying to mimic a real conversation by waiting for certain replies. i've been called twice with that same kind of female voice but from different numbers. the first was 0121 5389395. seems dodgy, probably a scam.
