I believe that these calls may be connected to the previous hacking incident involving TalkTalk. Recently, I've received multiple calls from individuals claiming to be from TalkTalk. However, upon expressing my doubts, they explained that they were calling from the local exchange in my area. I informed them that there is no exchange here, which prompted them to assert that they were actually from BT. Following this, I have received two calls where nobody responds and eventually hangs up. I experienced a similar pattern of such calls in the past, which eventually ceased for some time but have now resurfaced.
