Somebody rang me about a car crash I'd apparently been in, said it was from the road accident reporting folk. I mucked about with them for a good 15 minutes before hanging up.

Got a call with someone saying I’d been in a crash that wasn’t my fault, which is rubbish coz I haven’t. I just hung up and looked up the number - it was tied to a wine firm in Birmingham. Their site looks like it’s stuck in the 90s and nothing about insurance or claims. Felt like they were trying to trap me into saying “yes” so they could maybe use my voice for something dodgy.

I got some automated messages saying that the RTA collision database had info about me being involved in a car accident. They wouldn't say which car though. Then they asked me straight up if I’d been in an accident, I said maybe. When they asked for the date, I just replied 4901 and then the call disconnected. Quite a strange experience!

My phone went off and I picked it up but the call ended almost straight away, they must have hung up after just two rings.
