One could easily mistake it for a clever ruse, aiming to catch the unwary off guard during a phone call. They were touting a rather enticing offer-a whopping 40% discount on my mobile bill, no less! Quite the tempting bait, don’t you think?

Got a call from this number but didn’t pick up since I didn’t know it. No voicemail left either, so clearly nothing worth saying. These types of calls happen all the time. And if you do pick up, they just keep pestering you nonstop.

I received a call on my mobile, trying to entice me with an iPhone 13 for just £49 a month. I wasn't keen, so I politely declined and ended the call. Subsequently, I decided to block that number and registered my mobile with the TPS to avoid further nuisance. Not even 48 hours later, I got another ring from 01214690021, likely a different number from the same lot since I had already blocked 01214690023. I chose not to pick up this time, but it’s now on my blocked contacts too!

This number rang me up claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, trying to sell phone deals. I told the person right away that I was aware it was a scam, and surprisingly he admitted it straight away. That really threw me off. Then he started asking if I had a baby at home, which honestly creeped me out so much I just ended the call.

It seemed like a scam to me, but honestly, I couldn’t make out a word they were trying to say. After a few times of me asking “sorry, could you repeat that?”, they just gave up and ended the call.

There’s no way this is actually Carphone Warehouse. When I rang, they said they were Metagraphics, which is just one of the several aliases used by those Indian web design folks. They’ve been pestering people nonstop for over two years - it’s like they think that’s proper way to do business or something.
