got a call from someone saying my internet was hacked. they told me to go on my computer, so i told them to hold on a bit while I sorted it out. after a couple minutes the line just went dead. crazy how folks still try this old scam and how some actually still fall for it!

I got a call from someone claiming my computer was under attack and asked me to turn it on. It’s a total rip-off, I’ve fallen for the same trick years back. Plus, the guy ended up swearing at me! Definitely a scam.

At about 1:30 in the afternoon on 6th January 2020, I checked the voicemail but didn’t catch anything that seemed suspicious or harmful.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT, but their accent was definitely foreign. They kept going on about problems with my broadband line, but I told them there's no issue, everything's working perfectly. I ended the call straight away. This was on my BT landline, and honestly, I've had to block loads of numbers on this line because of calls like this.

Had a call on my Reading landline from 01214683746 at around 11:10 on 6/1/20. The caller said they worked for BT and that my broadband had been hacked and would be cut off. When I replied with a sarcastic "oh really?", the lady just hung up straight away.

They've rung me up three times today alone, it's mad how persistent they are. Since their spot shows up clearly on the map, maybe the cops might be able to step in? Seems a bit much to just ignore it.

someone rang pretending they worked for bt internet, but we didnt buy it one bit. told them to take our number off their calling list sharpish.

Got a strange call, then this heavy breathing from someone 19 years old maybe? The whole thing was just off, the call dropped and the recording said something about a temp fault. The whole situation felt pretty sketchy.
