I found it quite tricky to grasp what they were on about. The accent was distinctly South Asian, which made it a bit challenging to follow.

I picked up the phone, but all I got was complete silence from the other side.

Total scam alert. Someone rang me pretending to be from O2, saying I could get 30% off my phone plan. I asked for my address to check if they were legit, but the person got all flustered and said they couldn’t see that info (which a real O2 rep would have right there). When I mentioned I was recording and had call tracing on, they suddenly spoke in what sounded like Gujarati and then just hung up. FYI, I don’t actually have any tracing software, but they didn’t know that!
