Got a call from this number thrice within a day. Didn’t bother leaving a voicemail when it went to answer machine. Eventually picked up at the third ring. I received a rather odd phone call the other day. There was a peculiar pause before the caller actually spoke, which immediately raised my suspicions. The chap on the other end had a very pronounced Indian accent and claimed to be from BT Openreach. Now, I’m fairly certain that BT doesn’t operate through Indian call centres, so that was my first red flag. He went on about how our internet speed was lacking and that they were looking into it-how convenient, given that our internet is indeed rather sluggish at the moment. When I quizzed him on how I could verify he was legitimately representing BT Openreach, he mentioned he could provide an identification code that only customers and BT would supposedly know. At that point, I thought better of it and decided it was likely a scam, promptly ending the call. I’ll be reaching out to BT directly to check if there’s any truth to this!

I received a phone call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT, wanting to verify the internet connection on my laptop. I mentioned that I'm actually with Virgin, but he continued to insist that BT manages the main line for all internet services and that he required access to my computer to conduct his checks. Quite dubious, if you ask me!

Totally a rip-off, no doubt. Had a ring on my phone earlier about my pension, some bloke claiming to be from Aviva. Told him there's no way I'm giving out pension details on a call, called him out as a con artist. He ended up calling me names! Called back and it just kept ringing before dropping. Just got a call about some extended warranty deal for a washing machine I don’t even have. The woman on the phone, who sounded foreign and was called “Kate”, tried her usual spiel. The 0121 area code is for Birmingham and nearby places. The number 0121 468 2360 looks like it could be real. According to Ofcom, numbers beginning with 0121468 belong to Voxbone SA. Keep in mind that because of number portability, a specific number might now be with another provider, but that info isn’t out in the open. The most recent update by Ofcom for this range happened back in November 2007.

I suspect this website is a scam masquerading as a washing machine warranty provider. I suggest steering clear of it!

Got a call from a Birmingham number but they hang up without leaving a voicemail. Strange!

Got a call from someone claiming to offer an extended warranty on my washing machine - problem is, I’ve never had one! The lady, with a foreign accent and called “Kate”, tried to push through her usual spiel but I kept throwing ridiculous questions her way. She lost patience and ended up hanging up before she could even ask for any card info. Shame though, it was one of the few things breaking the boredom of lockdown for me!

Got a call from someone with a Birmingham number, sounded like a foreign scammer talking about Amazon Prime. Total pain. I blocked them straight away. Beware, it’s dodgy stuff best avoided!

I got a call from a woman with an accent, saying she was from some warrant office or something. I didn't even let her finish and just ended the call - total scam, if you ask me.

No idea who that was.

Number popped up on my phone but I don't know anyone from Birmingham so I just let it ring out.

Got a call claiming my Bosch washer warranty was about to expire. When I mentioned I run a laundrette, they just cut me off straight away.

This stupid scammer got themselves blocked by me, thank goodness!

So annoying! This woman kept calling, claiming to be from Amazon. I’m on the telephone preference service, so I looked into it and blocked her number, but I’m sure she’ll ring back again. For some reason, Mondays seem to be when they prefer to call. She even said they already have my phone number? It’s really frustrating since I use my landline a lot for important medical appointments.

I don't recognise this number at all, so I just blocked it straight away. Seems dodgy, probably some kind of scam.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Amazon, but he had a weird foreign accent. He then started asking if he could have some sort of inappropriate chat with me! I told him to jog on immediately and he ended up shouting all sorts at me before hanging up. Proper dodgy!

I tried calling back but nobody picked up, so I couldn’t leave a message.

Got a call from the same number a while back - something about washing machine insurance or whatever. Best thing to do is not answer and hang up straight away.

Got a call from someone saying my washing machine warranty was up and asked if I wanted to renew it. I don’t even have a warranty for my washing machine, so I declined. The person just said thanks and hung up. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call again from some overseas person trying to talk about a warranty. I just told them to stop bothering me and take my number off whatever list they have.

No message was left, sadly...

This number has called me twice today already. It's some sort of washing machine repair scam, I'm sure of it. Even though I've blocked it on my landline, the calls keep coming through. I'm starting to think this number is not only a nuisance but could be risky too.

Keeps ringing as usual but when I pick up, there's nobody and then it just cuts off.

They rang at half past eight in the morning, but lucky for them they didn’t get me on the line. If they had, they’d have had a right earful of the kind of language my old Sergeant Major used to shout!

Got a call from some woman asking if I was Mrs and then my hubby's first name. Oh great, knew straight away it was gonna be a waste of time so I just ended the call.

Already got three calls this morning about Amazon Prime. Yesterday somebody rang saying my internet was gonna be disconnected. Blocking all their numbers now!

Got called twice within an hour by strange numbers. I never pick up if the number looks dodgy! If it's something important, they'll leave a voicemail anyway.

Got a call from this number a few days back, some woman looking for my ex-husband. I told her no one living here goes by that name and she just hung up. Then, just now, another call from the same number. A foreign-sounding lady asked for me using my maiden name from like 16 years ago before I remarried. When I asked who she was, she kept repeating that old name and then hung up when I pressed for an explanation. Blocked the number now.

I told the caller the person they were asking for had died, and this woman just rudely ended the call on me.

These home insurance callers just won't stop ringing me! Next time, I’m definitely gonna give them a blast on my whistle and see how they like that.

I didn’t pick up as I had no idea who it was. They didn’t bother leaving a voicemail either.

There was a pause at first, then a woman with a foreign accent called asking for someone I don’t know. I said that wasn’t me, but she kept going on about some kind of washing machine warranty that had run out. I told her again I wasn’t the right person and I wasn’t interested in whatever scam she was pushing.

Got a call from a woman with a thick foreign accent, she asked if I was Mr (Our Surname). Thing is, I’m a woman and I sound completely female! Kinda weird, so I ended the call. Recognised the number from before, so just decided not to bother.

Got a call from a woman with an accent, asking if my washing machine was still under warranty. I said no, and then she just ended the call.
