whenever I get a call like this, I always request all the details they hold on me in writing. They’re legally obliged to share it under the Data Protection Act. The unpleasant woman quickly ended the call when I asked. I’ve reported it to my insurance firm, and I’ll be switching providers unless they prove they’ve dealt with my complaint properly.

Got a couple of calls from this number. Won’t mention the firm. The woman said I’d apparently ticked a box on an insurance form admitting to an accident in the past two years. I said I definitely hadn’t, and she accused me of lying and threatened to report me to some financial regulator which could lead to prosecution! Got a call from Motor Investigations, an Asian lady wanting info about a recent car accident. I asked her when it happened, she just said "within the last 2 years". I asked a couple more times for a specific date, but she kept giving the same answer. When I pressed for more details, she hung up on me. I dialled the number back with 141 and the voicemail said it was Motor Investigations. It mentioned pressing 1 to be removed from their list, but honestly, after experiencing this, I doubt they actually take you off. Using 141 seems pointless in this case.
