I received a call from a centre that professed to be O2, quizzing me about my mobile contract. To be honest, it felt rather dubious and I can’t shake the feeling that it wasn’t all above board.

Somebody rang me from a call centre with a thick foreign accent claiming they were from o2. They said o2 was offering a 30% discount on my bill because of the usual yearly price hike in April. I asked why they hadn’t just applied the discount automatically, and he said he just needed me to verify my email address. I ended the call there - surely o2 already have my email info anyway.
