Somebody rang me claiming to be from my electric company. They wanted to verify my address, phone number, email, and asked if I got my bill through post or email. When I called my actual electricity supplier, they told me they hadn’t made any calls like that.

This number has been ringing me almost every day for the last week. I honestly have no clue what they want, and I’m definitely not going to ring back just to play along with their so-called "Echo Test". When I answer, it’s just a recorded voice, not a real person.

I didn’t pick up the phone when it rang, not sure who it was, but since I was waiting for a call, I rang the number back. It wasn’t the person I thought it would be though, just some automated voice. They asked me to speak so they could play my voice back in some kind of echo test. That was enough for me, so I just ended the call. No clue what that was meant to be and didn’t want to bother with it any longer.
