When I insisted there was no incident in question, he abruptly claimed I must be the wrong party and promptly ended the call. He proceeded to request my full name, date of birth, home address, and vehicle registration number. The first call came through last night, followed by another this morning. I made it abundantly clear that I recognised the situation as a scam and informed him that I had alerted the authorities. Despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, it seems that it doesn't extend to calls from outside the UK.
