Got a call from National Accident Helpline claiming I had an accident in the past two years. I told them straight up I hadn’t been in any accident and that it sounded dodgy. They kept saying they must have mixed up the details or something. I just ended up blocking the number now.

Got a ring from this number around 4.17pm on 1st Feb 2017. Didn’t answer since it was an unknown caller. Just found out it was some cold call from Slater & Gordon solicitors about a personal injury claim. Didn’t need a lawyer at all, so proper spam in my book! What’s worse is my number’s ex-directory and on the TPS list, so no idea how they got hold of it.

Got a ring from this number at about 4.17pm on the 1st February 2017. Didn’t answer as I didn’t recognise it. Just checked and it’s from some law firm called Slater & Gordon, about personal injury stuff. Never asked for a solicitor, so definitely one of those unwanted calls!

02/02/2017. Got two calls about 20 minutes apart from 01213241111. I picked up the first one and it was an Asian lady claiming to be from some accident claims company. I said I wasn't interested but she kept trying to convince me. I ended up hanging up. When it rang the second time, I just let it go to voicemail.

I keep receiving calls like this and honestly, I'd say just don't pick up. They usually don’t bother calling again. I just let the phone ring out, even if it takes ages. If you don’t recognise the number, best just to ignore it.

Had a call from an Asian lady claiming to be Jessica Williams from the Accident Investigation Branch. She asked for the company name and said it was Central Accident Authority, giving an address in Luton postcode LU1 2BS, but the number was from Birmingham! Got a few silent calls from this number and also once got a weird voicemail saying "wrong extension". I'm on the TPS list as well.

Typical call between 2 and 3 in the afternoon from dodgy callers. I usually ignore but when this number rang at 2:12 I answered and stayed silent. They ended the call after just a few seconds. Pretty sure it's a scam.

So, I got a call in the afternoon yesterday about supposedly being in an accident. I quickly said they had the wrong number. Also, they had called earlier this morning, around 8:30, but I didn't answer.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, said his name was David. Could hear loads of noise like he was in a call centre. Ended up just hanging up.

Got a call from an accident helpline. I nicely asked 3 times for them to take my number off their list, but all I got was "why?" and then nothing. When I asked if they would actually delete it, no reply. In the end, I told them I'd report and block their number. Definitely a scam.

Some bloke said he was from the Accident Investigation team and asked how I was. I told him I’d be doing better if he wasn’t calling and that I didn’t want any more calls from him as what he was doing was against the law. Also warned I’d report him if he called again (3.1.17). Then on 4.1.17, I got two calls from 0845 602 1111 but didn’t pick up. The first number he called from was 0121 324 1111.

this number kept ringing me with silence a few times then today 2.10 pm got a call with call centre noise in the background, a man with an accent calling himself david from central accident birmingham said someone linked to my number had an accident in the past two years. i asked what kind of accident and he said a minor traffic one. i told him that’s odd ‘cause no one here drives. then he admitted he probably dialled the wrong number and just hung up.

we’re ex directory and signed up to the tps. got a call from a woman called nari, sounded indian, saying she was from some accident investigation team. she was trying to see if anyone here had been in an accident. said she got our phone number from accident claims management. as soon as we mentioned the tps, she just hung up quick. clearly knew it’s illegal to call people on that list.

Got a call today 21/12/2016 from a man speaking with a Nigerian accent. He claimed he'd been told I’d been involved in a car crash, which is strange as I don’t drive and have never been in an accident. I told him straight away that I'm on the TPS list and that calling my personal phone like this is illegal. He insisted he had permission to ring me and insisted the call was important even though he knew I was registered. I kept telling him about my TPS registration but he started yelling at me. I just wished him a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year before hanging up. The call lasted about 7 minutes in total.

Today, this number called me. I answered with a 'Hello' two times but then they just hung up. I dialled 1471 to get the details and looked it up on the internet, which brought me here to this site. I wouldn’t bother returning the call. If they really mean business, they’ll probably phone you again.

On 15th December, this number rang me at about 4.09pm but when I answered with a 'Hello' there was just silence. I’m never calling it back, totally not worth it - both time and money down the drain. If it’s something important, they’ll get in touch again for sure.

ive been getting loads of calls from what sounds like a call centre. most of them are from asian people speaking really broken english, saying they work for central accident management. almost all the calls come from a birmingham area code. i called central accident management in birmingham myself and they told me scammers are pretending to be them, and theyre trying to find out where the calls are coming from. they also said their company never makes calls like these out of the blue.

He asked if I'd been in an accident in the last couple of years. I just said 'if you say so, it must be true.' Then he asked again, and I said, 'Have you?' This went back and forth for about ten minutes until he got annoyed, shouted at me, then hung up. Quite funny really, I was actually enjoying the banter.

today some one rang me asking if anyone at my number had been in an accident in the past 2 years. i asked who they were and what company they worked for. he said his name was jack from central accident management and claimed he got my details from the accident advice service. weirdly enough, about an hour earlier i'd already had a call from the same company, and when i asked the lady where she got my info from she swore and then just hung up. when i told jack this, he hung up too! but not before trying to get me to confirm my address and the names of everyone living here.

this number called me earlier today. i didnt pick up since i didnt know it. my caller id said it was an international call but the number looked like it had a birmingham area code. weirdly, my phone also showed the word ‘answering’ even though i never picked up. the phone kept ringing for ages before suddenly cutting off. seems pretty suspicious to me. best not to answer.
