My tip is to ask them to give you exact details about this accident they’re talking about - they usually end the call right away. Another good trick is to keep asking how they got your info and never confirm anything about yourself - just keep pressing them on where they found your number and who exactly they think they’re speaking to. They really don't like it when you turn the questions back onto them.

Got a random call from "Accident Management Services" saying they knew about a small car crash. Told them not to bother calling as my phone number is ex directory. Ended the call immediately.
