Phone number ☎️ 01213182227 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance call linked to a probable scam involving claims of recent car accidents and offers of compensation. Callers, often speaking with strong Asian accents and claiming to represent road safety departments or accident management firms, typically ask intrusive questions about alleged accidents that recipients have no record of. Many recipients find the calls unintelligible, aggressive, or suspicious due to lack of verifiable details and refusal to provide information when challenged. Calls often include periods of silence before hanging up, repeated attempts despite requests to stop, and sometimes automated messages. Call recipients advise against sharing personal details, recommend blocking the number, and suggest reporting incidents to the Telephone Preference Service and Ofcom to help curb these unwelcome and potentially fraudulent calls.

Got a call from some Indian call centre saying they’re with the electricity company and wanted to speak to the person who pays the bills.

01213186105 - called me about a car crash I supposedly had (which I never did!). My tip is to ask them to give you exact details about this accident they’re talking about - they usually end the call right away. Another good trick is to keep asking how they got your info and never confirm anything about yourself - just keep pressing them on where they found your number and who exactly they think they’re speaking to. They really don't like it when you turn the questions back onto them.

I got a call on my phone from this number and they asked for me using my full name. It kinda freaked me out - do you think they might already have some of my info? They mentioned something about me being in a car crash but I told them that wasn’t true. I ended up hanging up real fast cause it just didn’t feel right.

Got about 3 or 4 calls from some Asian guys asking if I’d been in an accident (this is a work number they kept ringing). I tried to play along at first, said I’d had an accident then just ended the call. Then they rang back and kept pestering me about it, I told them I had no clue what they were on about and they just hung up. Such time wasters!

Got a call from a woman, her accent was really thick, sounded like Chinese. She kept asking if I'd had any accidents in the past three years or something like that, but honestly I couldn't make much sense of it. The call came through at 10:39 on 18/11/2016. Earlier today, on the 19th of October, I received a rather curious call about a car accident that supposedly took place last August. They claimed to offer assistance in securing some sort of compensation for it. The funny thing is, I wasn't even involved-I wasn’t in the vehicle when it got bumped in a car park! Just a right nuisance of a call. I decided it was best to end the conversation promptly. Cheers from Scotland!

Got one of those silent calls again, reported it straight to Ofcom. Honestly, just takes a couple of minutes to do online and it really helps. They’re allowed to hit these pests with fines up to £2 million and actually do something about it. The more people who report, the better chances we have of cracking down on these annoying calls, so please do report every time!

I received a call from a woman claiming to represent the National Accident Centre, which gave me the impression she was affiliated with a governmental organisation. She stated she had information indicating that I’d been involved in a car accident, and seemingly my family members as well. When I probed about how she obtained such details, she mentioned having access to ambulance records. However, when I inquired about the specific dates of these alleged incidents, she refused to share that information, stating confidentiality restrictions. She was quite insistent, despite my requests for her to remove my number from her list. Quite the odd experience, to say the least!

I received a call from this number today at precisely 5:37 in the afternoon; it was the third time in quick succession. A chap with a foreign accent was babbling on about an accident, claiming it was related to road safety. We hung up, but lo and behold, he rang us back straight away! He didn't seem to care one jot about our objections; it was incredibly irritating. I hit the nine button to block this caller. I've encountered similar nuisances on my mobile too. Such a hassle! Earlier today, my landline rang with this number. When I picked it up, there was silence on the other end at first. I hung on for a moment, and then I could hear some noise in the background, followed by a woman’s voice saying 'hello, hello'. I decided to hang up and left the phone off the hook. It was clearly a call centre operation. I just double-checked my registration with the TPS, and it's all in order. It's maddening to have these unnecessary disturbances interrupting my day. I had just managed to settle my grandson for a nap, and I was enjoying a bit of peace when I had to dash for the phone, hoping it wouldn’t disturb his slumber.

I recently received a rather peculiar call from this number, inquiring about an accident I supposedly had. When I pressed them for specifics, like my car registration and the particulars of the incident, they couldn't provide a thing. They claimed they were an insurance company checking up on a claim, but that didn’t add up. I suggested that any other insurance firm worth its salt should have access to a police report regarding the accident in question, but they were strangely evasive. I even requested to speak to a supervisor, who eventually returned my call. Strangely enough, he too was at a loss for details about the alleged accident; all he wanted was for me to verify my personal information! In the end, he fumbled his way through an excuse about possible confusion with records and assured me my number would be scrubbed from their database. Quite the farcical experience, to say the least!

Some bloke with a foreign accent was claiming he was ringing from some Accident Help line or whatever. I've found the easiest way to get rid of these annoyances is just to keep repeating "Hello? Hello? Hello?" every time they talk. It really throws them off, like you can't hear all their nonsense, and they often just give up and hang up. Just had that happen now. Fingers crossed he doesn't call back.

I answered the phone after it had been ringing for a bit, but all I got was dead air. So, I tried my luck with a "hello," but no response came forth. Received a similar dodgy call today - an Asian voice on the line claiming to discuss my recent car accident. I promptly told him to get lost in Hindi, and just like that, the phone went silent. This call came through at 15:19 on the 2nd of June, 2016.

I received persistent calls claiming that my computer had encountered a severe virus, with a gentleman from India assuring me he could resolve the issue. Thankfully, I sensed something fishy and hung up before it got any further.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent calling himself John. He claimed he was with "Security," but when I asked what security, he mentioned something about an accident. I couldn’t quite catch the full story, but I told him I wasn’t interested and was going to hang up. He tried to keep talking, but I just ended the call. - caller: John

Got a call about some recent crash, they asked if my partner was around and he didn’t even know the guy they mentioned. Feels like a total scam, really dodgy and definitely not genuine.

Picked up the phone, but there was absolute silence on the other end, followed by a mechanised farewell. Just last week, I had a call from a dodgy insurance con, claiming I’d been in an accident - never happened, of course! I firmly told them to stop ringing me. It’s likely just a revenge call from those scammers. Honestly, it’s not worth your time even picking up these calls!

Just got a recorded message that said "goodbye" and nothing else!

It’s quite likely that this number isn’t genuinely from Birmingham; it appears to be a virtual geographical number instead. The telecoms company behind it is Wavecrest.

Picked up the phone, and after what felt like an eternity of silence, the person on the other end just said, “Goodbye!” and hung up. Quite peculiar, really!

I've received two calls from someone who had an Asian accent, insisting they were from the "national accident department." They were rather vague, making a rather bold assumption that I must have had a car accident within the last couple of years. When I pressed him for details, the only concrete thing I managed to extract was that he was based in Birmingham; everything else was just a fabricated tale. One telltale sign of these calls is the eerie silence of about five seconds when you first answer, as if a machine is deliberating whether there's a genuine human on the line.

Got a call today but no message left, and when I tried calling back, they just wouldn’t answer. I'm ex-directory and on the TPS, so this really annoyed me!

No idea who that was, just dead silence.

What a bother these folk are! They've been incessantly calling, inquiring about some supposed car crash that either myself or a family member is meant to have been involved in not too long ago. I rather curtly informed them to cease their harassment and hung up the phone.

Received a call this morning on my home phone from an Asian gentleman claiming to be with the Road Traffic Authority. I didn't stick around for the end of the spiel and hung up straight away. I've got my number registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and I've let them know about this call too. 😈

We got a call on our office number from someone called "James" who had a really thick accent. When I asked what was the reason for calling a business, he just ended the call straight away.

I've had the most bothersome phone call from some so-called accident claims company. What a pain!

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, said his name was "James" and he was from some insurance company. I cut him off and said, "You're about to talk to me about the accident with my car, right?" He said yes, so I told him, "Look, you’ve rung here before. I’ve never, not once, owned a car, so don’t bother calling again or I won’t be so nice next time." Then he just hung up.
