Got a call from someone claiming to be from Santander, tried doing a transaction while I was still on the phone. The bloke had a posh accent, but don't let that fool you. They wanted me to share my one-time passcode, but obviously I didn't. Just a heads up, never ever give your OTP to anyone, not even if they say they’re from your bank.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Capital One, wanted me to confirm a code to stop a transaction. Turns out it wasn’t them at all. Please don’t share any codes or personal details on calls like that, it’s definitely a scam!

Got a call from someone saying they were from HSBC, asking for a code they said they’d send me. Yeah right, like I’m just going to hand that over! Total scammer!

I got four missed calls, so I decided to ring back. The person just said "hello", no company name or anything. He said he was calling from Barclaycard about some dodgy activity on very.com. Then he wanted me to give him a 6 digit code to supposedly stop it. When I asked why he didn’t say who he was at first, he lost his cool, started swearing, and then hung up. Definitely a total scammer, no doubt about it.

Some bloke rang me saying he was calling from the HSBC fraud team, asking if I’d noticed any suspicious activity on my card. When I asked him to prove his identity, he said he'd send me a link with a code to click on. I told him that sounded dodgy and wished him a good day. Then he actually swore at me! Pretty sure he wasn’t really from HSBC after that!

Somebody rang me saying they were with Santander's fraud team and warned about suspicious charges on my credit card. They then sent a text, which they said was from Santander, and wanted me to give them the OTP code. Seemed dodgy to me.
