The caller claimed to be from the telephone preference service and tried asking for their bank info. They weren’t having it and asked her for a number to ring back on to verify if she was legit. When they tried calling that number back, it wasn’t recognised. Then the same woman, who sounded like she was from somewhere in East Asia, rang them back pretty quick and asked why they’d ended the call. She started getting quite rude, even threatening to disconnect their phone and close their bank account. Definitely a dodgy call!Telephone Preference Service6 yearsI got a call supposedly from PayPal saying there’s been suspicious activity on my account. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it!PayPal6 yearsGot a call from a guy called Luke Watson, said he was phoning from Manchester on 0161 818 4976. He told me my Yahoo account had been hacked by some overseas sites and that his firm could sort it out. He asked me to ring back on 01213181081 with an ID he gave me. I never let him near my computer or shared any details - I’m pretty sure it’s just a scam, so I didn’t bother calling him.Luke WatsonManchesterSubmit Your Own Report (0121 318 1081)
