There was a number at the bottom of an email supposedly from Birmingham Uni’s procurement team. I rang it and some bloke answered saying his name was Geoff or summat like that. Def not what I was expecting.

Got a call from a company called One Direct or maybe One Call Direct, claimed they were EE account managers helping me save cash. When I asked them to show me my details, they said they weren’t able to. Then I said, I thought you managed EE accounts? They replied, well yeah, but we only get basic info. Seems like they’re just pushing EE stuff to earn some affiliate commission for themselves.

Double glazing company called, I just told them I dont do cold calls and ended the call. They havent tried again, but then I dont really use my mobile much. Anyone that needs to reach me has my landline anyway. Nothing is that urgent, plus we use WhatsApp for family chats which really limits these annoying calls.

After numerous attempts to get in touch, I finally rang them back. It was regarding their echoing offers about replacing my double glazing. To put it mildly, they were quite abrasive when I mentioned I wasn't keen on their services. Isn’t it about time we put a stop to this relentless barrage of calls? It's becoming unbearable, getting the same nuisance day in, day out, morning and night. I’m truly fed up!

They tried ringing me yesterday but I didn’t pick up, so I looked them up and blocked the number. Then today, they called again but using a slightly different number format +01213148830 instead of 0121 314 8830. I figured blocking the number would be enough, but seems like it’s not. They’ve managed to get past my block somehow. They must be really keen to get hold of me. I’ve blocked this one now too, so we’ll see if they come at me from another angle.

The woman then requested I verify my personal information. I quickly responded by saying, "You tell me your details," then ended the call. Best to steer clear of these tricksters. They're definitely up to no good!
