Got a call from what looked like a Birmingham number but was actually a scammer acting as my bank, which I don’t even have an account with. They claimed there was an issue with my utility bills. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. Seems like these numbers are either cloned, fake, or passed around by UK resellers who don’t care who they sell them to. Total waste of time.

Got a second ring from this same number. This time I knew the 01213141176 prefix and chose not to pick up. The first time they rang, they acted like they were from my bank but never mentioned which one, going on about a £300 Amazon charge and a £1,000 payment abroad. I've already flagged them on the site mentioned before.

Had a call from 0121 314 1187, claiming they were from a windows and doors company down in South West London. They asked if they could pop round for an inspection. When I asked where they found my number and said I'd want to verify their credentials first, the person on the line just said thanks, wished me a good day and hung up. Bit strange if you ask me.

Got a call from what sounded like a really lifelike robot asking if I owned the house, then trying to pitch some sort of window replacement scheme. These types are pretty obvious if you listen closely. I just threw in a weird answer to one of its questions and it didn’t have a clue what to say next. Combining a fake offer with cold calling screams scam to me. Honestly, they’re probably just trying to con you out of your money or worse, so best just ignore and hang up straight away.
