Got a call from this number today. Since I use a BT Call Guardian phone, it only shows the number when a caller isn’t in my contacts. I've got the TPS registered and have been getting these sorts of calls for ages. Eventually I had to splash out on the Call Guardian phone just to cut down on how often this happens. Why can't these calls be blocked properly? Why did I have to spend quite a bit on a phone just so these unwanted calls don’t get through when they really shouldn’t be calling at all?

Got a bothersome call today just before midday from this number, seemed like a call centre in India maybe. They were asking about some crash which I definitely wasn't involved in. I told them to remove me from whatever list they had. After seeing what 'Siany' said on 3rd February, I tried calling the number back but it just said 'wrong number', so there's no way to ring them again.

Got another phone call from someone saying they’re from ‘the accident helpline’. I’m on the do not call list for these kinds of calls and what’s worse is I haven’t even had any accident to begin with! It’s really frustrating that they think it’s ok to ring our landlines. Got another call from someone saying they were with 'The Accident Helpline'. Different number this time but sounded just like before - faint line, Asian accent, same spiel. Definitely trying to catch me out, even though I keep telling them I don’t drive because of my disability. I played along till they gave up, but it’s really annoying being disturbed at lunch. Makes me worry about folks who are more vulnerable or actually had an accident falling for this rubbish. Honestly, what’s the point of the TPS if it doesn’t stop this?

So earlier today, about 13:47, my landline buzzed from 0121 288 8314, seems to be from Birmingham. I chose not to pick up, figured it could be one of those scam calls since hardly anyone knows our home number. After checking the number with 1471, I jotted it down. Curious, I glanced through the reviews here and decided to call back at 13:59 - turns out it was the wrong number! I was sure I dialled it right though!

Got called by this number about six times in just 20 minutes this evening. It’s now 6:50 pm and some Asian voice claimed I had an accident back in 2015 - which is totally not true. These sorts of calls are a real nuisance, they’ve done this to me before. Even though I’ve reported and blocked them through the TPS, they just carry on pestering like it doesn’t matter.

Got a call from someone who sounded Asian, but honestly, I couldn't catch a single word they said. No clue if it was a bloke or a lass, could be anything really - trans, a feminine guy, a butch woman, or maybe they just have a speech issue. This woman called me asking about a supposed accident I was involved in, which was a total scam right from the start. I played along and told her I’d been in a crash just to see where it’d go, and then I got passed on to a guy with an Indian or maybe Pakistani accent. He wanted all the specifics, so I jokingly told him it was my fault, I’d been drunk, knocked into a supermarket, injured a bunch of old folks, and even nicked some snacks while walking the aisles. That was the last thing he heard before he hung up on me.

A bloke called claiming he was from Birmingham, but honestly, his accent was so thick I struggled to catch what he was saying. I had to ask him to go over everything a few times. A woman with a thick Asian accent rang me up, claiming there'd been an accident involving me recently. Got a phone call from a bloke with an Asian accent. I picked up and some random music started playing, then he said he was calling from some accident helpline about a car crash I’d supposedly been involved in. So I got a call out of the blue about some accident I supposedly had - total scam. I played along for a bit, then suddenly a “manager” jumps on the line. I kept him hanging for like 30 minutes, trying to figure out who he even was. He couldn’t tell me my name or any about my car (which doesn’t even exist!) or anything personal. The best tactic is to drag the call out and never spill any info. They’ll waste loads of time trying to get you to trust them. Keep grilling them about whether they’re legit government or ask where they got your info from - mention data protection too - just to keep them on the line. These people get paid peanuts to ring random numbers hoping you’ve had an accident, then pass you to some “manager” to scam you. They know zilch about you, so seriously, be careful.

Picked up the phone and heard nothing at first. I asked who was speaking. The person said they were from the "UK accident bureau." I then wanted to know his name - he said Tony. When I tried to find out where exactly he was calling from, he tried to end the call insisting again it was the accident bureau. I pushed a bit more and asked for their location, but all I got was the same "accident bureau" answer. Next, I asked for a road name; he said Kingsland Road. When I requested the postcode, the line went dead. The bloke sounded like he had an Asian accent.

Got a call from an asian bloke on 01212888314 about some supposed car crash. He swore at me coz he reckoned I was wasting his time. Then he started threatening to charge me £50 for wasting his time!

I just got a call claiming to be from some car accident team, asking about an accident that I supposedly had. When I couldn’t give them any details and asked for theirs, they started getting really rude and aggressive.

I didnt pick up but I used 1471 to check who was calling. My landline hardly gets any calls, so most of the time its these annoying numbers. Its pretty useful to figure out who's calling though. Feels like these callers just annoy folk for no real reason, probably most of them haven’t even been in any accidents or anything.
