I hadn’t a clue whose number it was, so I went ahead and answered with a casual hello. When I responded affirmatively to their query—“yes, I am Mrs...”—they abruptly cut the line on me! Typical timing for these total chancers, right around half past twelve as usual!

I picked up the phone when it rang, but since I didn't recognise the number, I just said a casual "hello." To my surprise, the voice on the other end simply replied with “goodbye” and then it went silent. I promptly blocked the number and ended the call.
