Got a call from energy provider again, 01212854705. It’s not the first time they’ve rung me up. I’ve put the number on block now - best not to pick up when they call.

Got a call earlier from a call centre about switching my energy provider, said no thanks. Then they called again within the hour, but from another number! So far I've had two calls from different numbers: 0121-285-4785 and 0121-285-4706. Bit annoying since I’m in Birmingham and feel I have to pick up. Might just block them all.

this company must have tried ringing me like a gazillion times, using all sorts of weird 012 1#9##%# number combos. now i just ignore anything starting with 0121, which is kinda risky since loads of local services in my area call back from birmingham, and they all have 0121 numbers! feels like im missing legit calls coz of this spam.

I just let it ring and didn’t pick up.

They rang earlier so I picked up, thinking it might be important. The person on the other end already knew my name, sounded like someone from an Indian call centre. I asked straight away who they were and how they got my details, as I never share my number with anyone. They claimed they had bought my information from some company and said they were a money saving helpline. I wasn’t convinced, so I just ended the call and blocked the number. Honestly, these guys shouldn’t be allowed to access personal info like that. Hope this warning is useful to others.
