I stupidly requested a brochure from Simplicity Cremations, part of Dignity Funerals, and ever since I’ve been bombarded with calls, sometimes three or four times daily. I’ve explained I’m not interested, but they keep ringing anyway. I even reached out to their main office and they promised to remove my number from their calling list. That didn’t help at all, in fact, the calls got worse. They’re just wasting their time and money 'cause I won’t pick up anymore. Now I’m making sure to warn others on social media about how persistent and annoying this company is.

There’s a company calling themselves Dignity Funeral care but looks like scammers to me. They’re after your personal info and don’t even appear on any Birmingham Funeral Directors list. I picked up once and then just left the phone hanging off the hook and walked off - let them pay for the wasted calls, they usually stop pretty quick after that! I got a call after I answered a few questions the day before from a different firm. They asked if I would be okay with someone from Dignity ringing me about funeral plans, and with everything going on recently, I thought it was worth checking out. I had a chat with a bloke who was really great, made everything clear and gave me plenty to consider. I don’t get all the bad reviews - the person was very kind and said they only call folks who’ve asked to be contacted.

My mum is 72 and was on the phone earlier, but the person speaking had a really poor grasp of English and was super rude. They kept asking if she’d be home all day, claiming to be from some Sky repairs team, and then started asking about the internet. Thing is, the account is in my name, so if they'd have bothered to ask for me, it’d have been sorted right away. Honestly, these people are just scammers trying it on.
