Not long after we enjoyed a meal from our nearby Indian eatery, we got a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be the restaurant manager. They were offering a shiny VIP dining card for a mere £25 annually, which apparently granted us a buy-one-get-one-free deal on main courses. Seemed a tad fishy to us, so we asked for some time to ponder over it and they promised to ring back the next day. However, they didn’t stick to the schedule, and instead, we received a rather inconvenient sequence of calls later on. Our phone registered two missed calls from withheld numbers and then a string of four calls from 01212850381 the next day, yet not a peep was left in the voicemail. Quite suspicious, really!

I received a call from this number on the 2nd of May, which happened to be a bank holiday - of all times! I didn't answer it, and after doing a bit of digging on another website, I discovered that this number has quite a few negative reviews. Apparently, it's linked to a call centre in Guernsey, which is situated in Birmingham, UK. One person even mentioned that when they answered, there was total silence on the line! Honestly, if it were someone I knew, they'd reach out through more reliable channels. If this number tries to ring me again, there's absolutely no chance I’ll be picking up that call!

I received a call from the number mentioned above, and a chap with an Indian accent claimed to be representing Tandoori Nights, a lovely dining establishment nearby. I could tell straight away it was all nonsense. Such tiresome nuisance calls!
