My elderly mum got one of those robotic calls saying she’s got some sort of tax fraud issue. It was obviously a scam, so disgusting how these low-life people prey on old folks. I really hope the authorities shut these crooks down ASAP.

Received a rather unsettling message on my phone, instructing me to answer it. I must say, it left me rather on edge-definitely not pleased with the whole situation. Why do these individuals not face any consequences? It’s alarming, to say the least!

So, Lisa Williams called again. I was out and only just got round to listen to the message on my answerphone five days after it arrived. Honestly, by now I might as well be in some kind of trouble! This sort of thing could really scare someone who’s not as tough as me, no doubt about it.

Got a dodgy call the other day, totally dodged a scam. Always careful not to fall for those fraud calls!

I felt absolutely dreadful after that call; any idea who it was?

Got a recorded automated call from some scammer telling me I owe the tax men. I've paid every penny due and have confirmation too. They had the nerve to call me at 1pm on a Saturday, when offices are closed, so no chance I'll be calling them back!

Its really awful how these scammers go after people who are easy targets. I think the cops need to step in and put an end to this mess.

Got a call supposedly from HMRC, with some automated voice claiming it's Miss Lisa Williams telling me I’m being sued big time. Said I need to call back right away or I’ll be hit with heavy legal fees and trouble. Definite scam alert.

The caller, identifying herself as officer Lisa William, spoke with a weird robotic tone and some odd wording. It’s always worth searching unknown numbers on Google first. I’ve put in a report with Action Fraud via their website www.actionfraud.police.uk - every bit of info helps the police gather proof. Alternatively, you can call them at 0300 123 2040. And if you ever agree to let anyone into your home to take money but suddenly feel something’s off, don’t hesitate to ring 999 straight away and explain you believe you’re being scammed right now.

Had the same thing happen to me, a automated voice saying there was some legal action from HMRC against me (never said my name, just "you"). I'm definitely going to report them to the police via Action Fraud.

Just got a call from my dad while I was at work, sounded really shaken up. He’s been working forever, and now at 72, these awful scammers are bothering him and stressing him out, which is so bad since he’s had a stroke before. They called him twice, thankfully he didn’t say any bank stuff. I don’t get why nobody’s doing anything to put an end to these con artists.

Got a call from these lot earlier, seemed pretty legit at first. Lisa left a voicemail, but when I called back I actually ended up speaking with a bloke called Henry Jackson. Apparently I owe them £5676 or something. They kept saying they'd send a warrant and have me arrested if I didn’t cough up today. They really try the scare tactics. I’m usually not one to fall for nonsense like this, but I gotta admit, they had me a bit rattled.

About a year ago I got one of those robotic calls. Honestly, it freaked me out a bit at first, but I looked up the number online as I usually do when an unknown number rings. I really hope they find a way to put a stop to these scams soon because they’re really quite risky.

Got a message on my voicemail this morning, seems they rang me last night 28/9/17. Checked some other dates, all the same deal. Lisa Williams must be quite active but too bad she ain’t real - total scam that. Whenever I get calls from numbers I don’t know, I always search them online, 99% of the time it’s dodgy numbers. Never bother calling back.

About a year ago I got this strange robotic call which honestly freaked me out at the start. Like i always do, I looked up the number on google to see what it was about. These sorts of scams are really worrying and I just hope something is done to put a stop to them soon. They can be pretty harmful.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me - a lady said she was from HMRC and Customs. She left a couple of voicemail messages about a legal case against me. This is the third time in six months I’ve had this nonsense. It’s just awful because it plays on peoples' fears, and anyone stressed might ring back. It's just wrong! Don't bother responding, I’m sure if it was real, you'd get a proper letter with all the details. Still, it might be worth reporting it to the police just to be sure.

Got two calls in less than an hour from an automated voice telling me to ring back this Lisa Williams person. Bit of a letdown there was no actual person to chat to, I might have invited them over for a cuppa and some biscuits. What a load of nonsense!

I just saw the comments from the 75 year old about being shaken up, and honestly, it’s really upsetting. Good on you for keeping calm because this is definitely a scam. These fraudsters, mostly foreigners, operate 24/7 pretending to be HMRC. The number you got hit with is actually brand new, just popped up yesterday! The mobile network that keeps giving out fresh numbers to these scammers every day needs to be made responsible. Glad you didn’t get fooled! I just block any automated calls claiming to be from HMRC - they always send letters if it’s real.

I'm 73 and got a call from someone named 'Lisa Williams'. The voice sounded really robotic and she said I had a lawsuit against me. I was quite stressed about it until my daughter, who's good with technology, heard the recording and told me it was just a scam. Honestly, it had me anxious for hours. These scammers really should be dealt with.

This morning I got two calls left on my answerphone from a lady pretending to be HMRC. She said there was a legal case against me. The first message came from a number that just showed up as 'External' on my caller ID. Honestly, these are total scammers, no question about it.

Pretty clear this is a scam, probably trying to trick you into handing over your bank info. When I didn’t sound naive, the caller just went quiet - seems like they’re after older people. The message finished with "Have a great and blessed day," which feels odd for anyone called Lisa Williams. Best not to pick up or ring back, seriously.

I got a call from someone named Miss Williams, number 1212840625, saying there’s a lawsuit against me. Honestly, I was sitting on the toilet when she called, so I’m not even sure what to think about all this legal drama. Sounds a bit dodgy to me.

Got a voicemail from what sounded like a robot claiming to be Lisa Williams from HMRC. The message said something along the lines of “you need to call back immediately or you’ll face worse legal trouble.” It ended with “this is your final warning to settle this matter.” She finished with something like “have a blessed day.” Definitely seems like a scam to me.

It seems that a genuine Birmingham telephone number has been compromised. The callers are in quite a fluster, urging you to return their call, insisting they represent HMRC and are initiating legal proceedings against the person they called. Best to ignore them altogether.
