Some bloke called Jack, claimed to be from Microsoft or summat. Spoke with a proper American twang. I knew it was dodgy right away, so I asked him to say everything again and he just hung up. Bit of a bummer, I wanted to mess about with him for a bit!

Got a call from 01212703729 but didn’t answer since I didn’t know who it was. I always ignore calls from unknown numbers unless they leave a voicemail. Most of the time, if there’s no message left, it’s almost definitely a scam. And honestly, ringing on such a significant and emotional day in our history? I got a call from someone pretending to be from Microsoft on Monday, 19th September around 11.40am. That was right in the middle of the period where, out of respect for the Queen, pretty much everything in the UK was shut. The caller sounded Indian and used a name that was clearly made up. I’m sure they didn’t even realise about the funeral closures here. When I calmly mentioned that most places were shut due to the Queen’s funeral, the person just cut me off. Seriously uncalled for!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft. As soon as I told the lady it was obviously a scam, I hung up. But annoyingly, they called me back two more times. On the last call, the woman swore at me, calling my husband all sorts of terrible names and using some nasty language towards me too.

Got a ring from this number saying it was the Pension Review Service. When I asked where they found my details, they claimed it was from some database of people who's put money into pensions before. I pointed out they called from a mobile, so I thought it was an individual, not a company. Told them to take my number off their list straight away.
