Someone rang my elderly mum, pretending to be the police, and kept pestering her for her bank info. It was really worrying.

I received a call from this chap earlier. When I picked up, he mentioned something about my broadband supposedly shifting to a private provider. I was taken aback, especially as I had a conversation with my actual provider just the day before. So, I asked him if he was a scammer, to which he insisted he wasn’t. I didn't buy it and promptly told him to get lost! 😒

I answered the phone early this morning and there was just a bunch of noise like a call centre in the background, but nobody actually spoke or said anything to me.
