Got a ring this morning around 8 am from a lady speaking with a strong Indian accent, which made me a bit wary straight away. She said she was calling from BT about some broadband deal. I just told her I didn't trust it, thought it was a scam, and ended the call quickly. Then I went ahead and blocked the number to be safe.

They said they were from BT about some "Internet Connect" issue, but it was total rubbish. Best thing to do is just hang up and block the number.

There was like 30 seconds of quiet, maybe some kind of bot testing for a reply? Either way, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I received a rather alarming call earlier, informing me that there’s a warrant out for my arrest from HMRC. They insisted that if I didn’t press 1 to speak with the officer handling my case, I’d face imprisonment. Quite the scare, I must say!

Yet another number that deserves to be blocked! I received a rather robotic-sounding voicemail, purportedly from HMRC, urging me to "press 1 to connect with your case officer to steer clear of legal trouble." Total nonsense!

I just got a call from 0121 269 5572, and there was this automated voice with a really odd American accent saying it was from HMRC. They warned me about some legal trouble and told me to "Press 1 to talk to an officer." Seemed suspicious - like they're working remotely from New York or somewhere. I wouldn't recommend pressing anything!
