The caller had an Indian accent and claimed to be calling from BT, warning me that my internet was about to be cut off because they detected hacking activity. She asked how many devices I had connected. I told her I wasn’t convinced and said I’d hang up and call BT directly. She then hurriedly said my connection would be shut down soon, so I told her to do it and that I’d sort it out with BT myself. The call then dropped. When I tried calling the number back, it showed up as “unknown”.
