I got a call where the person asked for a name that was completely unfamiliar to me. When I said I didn’t know them, the caller just stayed quiet and didn’t hang up, even after I kept saying “hello?” Eventually, I just ended the call. It’s odd because I’ve had a few calls like this before from different numbers, always asking for some random name I’ve never come across. Seems like they can’t even keep their details straight. Honestly, sounds like some pretty rubbish scammers to me.

Got a call from someone saying they were with TalkTalk. They tried to get me to log on, saying my internet wasn’t secure. When I asked for more info, they said their name was Susan Wilson and gave me a number, 01295432724, to ring back. But as soon as I asked which department she was from, the line went dead.

Virgin Media apparently had a problem with our internet. They rang me at my job, so I told them to get in touch with our IT department. The guy just replied with 'F YOU and F EVERYONE'. I just said have a nice day and ended the call! I really don’t get why some people have to be so damn rude.

I received a rather alarming automated message when I answered the phone, warning me that my national insurance could be put on hold and that I could face legal action if I didn’t respond. Then, an operator with an accent, possibly Indian or Asian, came on the line and requested my name. It was evident he was working from home. When I told him I recognised it as a scam, he promptly cut the call. Curious, I rang the number back and was greeted by another automated message stating, "You’ve been contacted regarding marketing. Press 9 if you wish to opt out of future calls."

Someone rang me saying they wanted to check up on my life insurance. They never mentioned how they got my personal info, but they did have my name. They rattled off a bunch of companies they supposedly worked with, about 20 or so. I told them to send me a letter instead, but they refused, so I just ended the call.
