5 yearsI have serious doubts about this lot; feels very much like a scam to me, likely involving some dodgy spray foam insulation. I didn’t get the chance to delve too deeply, though. They introduced themselves as belonging to a “local energy company,” claiming to be “Chris” from the Green Eco Centre, supposedly based in London. The whole pitch was about persuading me to book a survey for some fresh loft insulation, asserting that mine was probably out of sync with government regulations. They mentioned they’d already contacted most folks in my vicinity, just trying to reach out to the “final few” who hadn’t been approached yet. Throughout the conversation, they continually brushed off my requests for additional details about their company, like a proper phone number (which I had already jotted down) and their business address. When I mentioned I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service, they conveniently ignored that too. Eventually, after a pause as I began to scan the ‘phone number online, “Chris” suddenly inquired if I could hear him, only to hang up the moment I mentioned my search.
