Someone called claiming to be from the All State Helpline and said I’d been in a car crash that wasn’t my fault. I smelled a scam straight away, so I asked who had told them that, but they dodged the question and then mentioned it was from some RTA Statistics Report. When I asked them to send me that report, they started making excuses, and after I pressed them, they just ended the call.

Just got a call from someone who said they were Lisa Stansfield. Guess the pop star life didn’t pan out! She kept pushing me to talk about a car crash I’d supposedly been in not long ago. Strange stuff.

Watch out - it’s clear this is a pre-recorded message with some sort of voice detection for responses. You can totally throw it off without much effort. Looks like they’re trying to get you to say ‘yes’ - seems like a new scam going around.

I honestly thought it was someone real speaking to me at first. But when I asked "no, I haven't. How did you get my number?" it was obvious the reply was just a recording. Makes me wonder if I said yes and they recorded that, would they somehow use it against me? I've been looking at car insurance quotes on comparison websites lately, so that's probably how they got hold of my number since I'm registered with the TPS. Best to just ignore these calls.

accident claim calls just wont stop, they keep going on and on until theyve done with their talk. report them to tps, its quick and easy under 2 mins. if enough people do it, they might get fined and finally leave us alone.

do yourself a favour and report those dead silent or dropped calls straight to ofcom. the spammers couldnt care less if you whine here, but they do get twitchy when ofcom get involved, and honestly it only takes a couple of mins on their website. your phone provider isnt bothered at all since they make money selling you caller ID and push blocking charges.

Got a call from some scammer claiming to be from "all safe help line." Couldn't find anything about them anywhere. I asked a few times how they got my number and then they said it was from the road traffic department! What a load of rubbish. When I called them out on it, they just ended the call.

someone rang me sayin ive been in a car accident. said hello. “you in a crash.” “yes,” (curious to hear what next) they said ive been reported in an accident. i laughed and said “really? i can’t even drive.” “pardon?” “i don’t drive, why you calling me then?” they just hung up. i do this with all the fake calls, keeps me entertained and it’s quite amusing.
