So this bloke rings up saying he’s from BT internet, said there’s been an issue with my connection for a couple of days. Thing is, my internet’s been working alright, but let’s be honest, we all grumble about the service now and then. He tried to get me to log in so he could ‘help’ sort it. I played along for a bit, chuckled and said sure, fix it for me then. After a while, I told him I knew he was a scammer and wasn’t falling for it, so he should stop wasting my time.

This isn't a local number; it definitely isn't from Birmingham. I received a call from someone claiming to be with BT, saying there was an issue with my internet over the last couple of days. Truth be told, my connection's perfectly fine-though, let’s be honest, we rarely feel fully satisfied with our service, do we? The chap wanted me to log in so he could 'assist' in sorting it out. I decided to play along for a bit, feeding him my interest, saying I’d love for him to sort it out. Then, I hit him with the truth-I told him I was well aware of the scam and that I wasn’t falling for his tricks, so he should take a hike!
