So this bloke rings up saying he’s from BT internet, said there’s been an issue with my connection for a couple of days. Thing is, my internet’s been working alright, but let’s be honest, we all grumble about the service now and then. He tried to get me to log in so he could ‘help’ sort it. I played along for a bit, chuckled and said sure, fix it for me then. After a while, I told him I knew he was a scammer and wasn’t falling for it, so he should stop wasting my time.

This was an overseas number, definitely not from Birmingham. A bloke claimed he was with BT broadband and said my internet had been down for a couple of days. I told him it was all good on my end, but honestly, we all grumble about our connection sometimes, right? He tried to get me to sign on so he could "help" sort it out. I played along a bit, pretending to be interested, then shut him down by letting him know I wasn’t daft and I wasn’t falling for it. Told him to stop wasting my time.
