Somebody rang saying they were from BT about upgrading my phone line because of the upcoming switch off. He kept going on about how he’d sort out my broadband and phone systems before the old ones got shut down. I decided to have a bit of fun and mess with him :) The accent sounded Indian, but the name he gave was properly British. Pretty clear to me it was a scam.

Somebody phoned saying they were from Uptel and started talking about upgrading my digital voice service. Definitely a scammer trying it on.

They started off with “My name is,” but then tried saying a very English-sounding name with this really strong Indian accent. Made me chuckle a bit.
