Got another call about that washing machine deal, they were after my bank sort code to supposedly sort a direct debit. They were using a website this time - https://switchansave.co.uk or something like that. I kept them on the line for about 10 mins, kept saying I wanted the paperwork first before setting up anything. They claimed it would reach me in a couple of days, but wouldn’t send it unless I agreed to the direct debit. Eventually I just hung up, hope I at least messed up their day a bit. Tried calling the number back and it was just dead, no connection. Classic scam stuff.

These fraudsters seriously think they’re untouchable. When I called them out for targeting elderly and vulnerable folks, they just got all smug and rude. One of them sneered, “While you lot from the working class are scraping together a simple meal, if that, we’ll be chilling on some Miami beach soon, knocking back cocktails and tucking into fancy Lobster Thermidor.” They bragged about raking in millions and living it up despite the cost of living crisis, while the rest of us are barely making ends meet. So angry just thinking about it! 🤬
