I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was ringing from EE and that I could get an early phone upgrade, even though my upgrade isn’t due for a few months. He didn’t even know my name, just that my number was on the EE network, which made me suspicious straight away. I’m pretty sure this was just spam. I’ve reached out to EE before about calls like this, especially after I got a pretty rude one, and they confirmed they don’t make calls to customers about upgrades. So yeah, I reckon this wasn’t legit.
